Mission Matters is proud to announce the Mission Matters Leadership Conference taking place November 8th in Los Angeles at Verizon 5G Labs in Playa Vista.

This inaugural gathering of CEOs, senior executives of larger firms, investors, media and thought leaders represents the culmination of 7 years of building the Mission Matters Community, which includes 6000+ podcast interviews and 100,000+ pieces of content distributed across platforms such as Forbes, USA Today, Yahoo! Donna Smith

Donna Smith began her career as Production Coordinator on RAGING BULL and quickly rose through the ranks, serving as Production Manager, Line Producer and Producer on notable projects that included THE TERMINATOR. Smith was tapped by Universal Pictures to serve as President of Physical Production and Post Production; becoming the first woman to serve in that role for a major Hollywood studio. During Smith’s seven-year tenure at Universal, more than 120 titles were released under her leadership including; Academy Award winner Schindler's List, Jurassic Park, Babe, Scent of a Woman, Casino, Backdraft, Back to the Future, Apollo 13, Waterworld, and more.Following her executive role at Universal, Donna entered the world of completion bonds, having established a sterling reputation as a “highly bondable” producer. Donna served as CEO/President for the Entertainment Coalition, a management entity formed to coordinate full-service completion bond and insurance services for the entertainment industry worldwide. Under Donna’s leadership, the company handled such titles as Star Wars: the Phantom Menace, The Nutty Professor, Batman & Robin, LA Confidential, Armageddon, Lethal Weapon, and the Matrix.Donna Smith more recently served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Cinema Completions International. Based in Los Angeles with offices in London and Sydney, CCI underwrote completion bonds for movies. Smith green-lit new business and spearheaded strategic planning, managerial insight; guided by an extensive network of relationships with Hollywood studio executives, producers, filmmakers and creative talent. Donna has the honor of being appointed a United States Film Ambassador to China and serves as a Women In Film trustee.

Roland Williams

Roland has achieved extraordinary heights as a professional athlete, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. A graduate of Syracuse University, Roland went on to play in the National Football League for an accomplished eight-year career, including Rams rookie of the year, the AFC Championship, and a Super Bowl Championship as part of the legendary St. Louis Rams’ “Greatest Show on Turf” offensive unit, breaking numerous records en route to the franchise's first championship. Charles Jenkins

Dr. Charles Jenkins is widely known for his innovative leadership, and diverse service as an influential renaissance man. For 20 years, Jenkins served as the senior pastor of the historic Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago. Jenkins has also served as a Commissioner on the Illinois Juvenile Justice Commission, as a member of The Board of Trustees for The City Colleges of Chicago, as an Advisory Board Member for The Illinois Attorney General’s Office, the Illinois State Treasurer’s Advisory Board, The Illinois Department of Transportation Advisory Board, and Chairman of the Rainbow Push Coalition’s PUSH BOARD just to name a few. He was also a pivotal leader in the passing of Chicago’s Big Box Ordinance which led to Walmart and Target Stores arriving in Chicago. He was also involved in Uber’s arrival in Chicago, leading to thousands of jobs and dynamic revenue for the city. Additionally, Jenkins was also instrumental in helping to restore nearly $30 million dollars to the Illinois state budget which led to the expansion of Walgreens and affordable medication for senior citizens in Illinois.

Erika Cheung

Erika Cheung is the executive director of Ethics in Entrepreneurship, a non-profit whose mission is to foster ethical questioning, culture, and systems in startups and innovation ecosystems.

Erika is an advisor to several family offices, venture capital firms, and governmental investment programs focused on healthcare, biosciences, and biotechnology companies. She invests a portion of her time building cross-border networks between the US and the Asia Pacific region to facilitate the growth of companies operating in emerging markets.

Her first job out of college was working for Theranos, where she subsequently was one of the critical whistleblowers reporting the fraud case to regulators preventing the company from providing false lab results to patients.

Marissa Andrada

With over 25 years of experience of integrating people and leadership capability into the foundation of business strategies, Marissa Andrada has energized brands to codify their purpose and values while accelerating company growth and industry-wide change, inspiring a movement for employee well-being and opportunity. Marissa is passionate about leading with authenticity and helping people and organizations unleash human potential to lift personal and overall company performance.
